John H. Swartz – Founder & President of Swartz Aviation Group, LLC
John grew up in corporate aviation with his father who was a sales executive for KC-Aviation, and now with one of the premier service centers Jet Aviation, St. Louis. As a boy John’s Father would take him to KC to look at the different aircraft in the hangar and occasionally fly on them. From that point John had aviation in his blood.
After graduating high school, John enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, to become a KC-130 jet engine mechanic. His duties included propeller maintenance, engine and APU maintenance, fuel system repair and running the test cell. John has a strong maintenance back ground including an A&P License, a level 2 NDT license and a 1st Class FCC license with a radar endorsement. In addition to these credentials, John is a private pilot.
After leaving the Marines, John worked for Dallas Airmotive, quickly becoming the Shop supervisor, and overseeing the disassembly of the Rolls Royce Spey and Tay program, and the Pratt & Whitney PT-6A and JT-15D program. John quickly excelled in the mechanics field and decided to pursue his goal to become an Aircraft Sales Professional. John began work with Pollard Aircraft Sales in 2005 and resigned in 2013. John resigned as the Vice President and was responsible for selling a variety of aircraft ranging from the turboprop to the most extravagant luxury business jet aircraft produced today. John’s specialty was the Citation 500/550/560/650 series aircraft and the Dassault Falcon 50/900/2000 series aircraft.
September of 2011 John and Tim Pollard formed a new company together called Pollard Spares, LLC. together with the acquisition of a single Falcon 50.This was the First Falcon 50 to be parted out in the world. John and Tim quickly realized there was a real business opportunity with this aircraft and decided to pursue the goal of making this a full fledge spares and rotable company supporting Falcon, Hawker and Challenger and Citation and Gulfstream owners around the world.
August of 2013, John decided that there was one final goal that he had not achieved in life, and that was to own his own aircraft sales company. This was by far one of the hardest decisions to make in life but one worth doing. August of 2013 Swartz Aviation Group, LLC was formed. John specializes in Falcon, Citation, Challenger and Gulfstream and Hawker type aircraft. John also has another company called Aircraft Maintenance Advisors, LLC.AMA is a company that was formed in partnership with Mr. Mike Klasing, specializing in placing older Citation type aircraft on an FAA approved low utilization program extending the inspections out, thus extending the life of the aircraft.
